NKY Young Professionals meet nearly 30 nonprofits at its second annual Bourbon and Boards event

More than 100 young professionals interested in getting more involved with area non-profits attended the second annual Bourbon and Boards, hosted by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s (NKY Chamber) Northern Kentucky Young Professionals (NKYP) group at River’s Edge at Newport Landing.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to connect with representatives from almost 30 area non-profits looking to engage young professionals on their boards of directors, while also networking with each other and participating in bourbon tastings.

“We are thrilled to offer this opportunity for area YPs to connect with nonprofits beyond the typical hourly volunteer hours,” said NKYP Community Involvement Committee co-chair Ellen Bates.

“Participating in a board enhances our leadership skills and builds our networks all while improving the wellbeing of our community,” continued NKY Community Involvement co-chair Rachel McCarthy.
