Fort Wright Police Department raises almost $9,000 during annual ‘Cram the Cruiser’ event

Good works are happening everywhere to make the holiday season meaningful for NKY families and children.

Deserving families and children will now have the opportunity for a stress-free Christmas filled with presents, thanks to the Fort Wright Police Department.

The department, in cooperation with Wal-Mart, conducted its annual “Cram the Cruiser for Christmas” event recently. The annual event is a partnership between Fort Wright Police Department, Fort Wright Elementary and Wal-Mart.

This year, NKY Bargain Outlet, located at 2809 Howard Litzler Drive in Fort Wright, joined the event, auctioning off a Play Station 5 and donating the proceeds to the cause. The raffle generated $6300. The money was used to purchase additional gifts for children and gift cards for their families.

Donations were also received from many other local businesses and individuals within the Fort Wright Community bringing total gift-giving abilities to almost $9,000.

The cooperative effort for the “Cram the Cruiser” event is further evidence why Fort Wright has been named “the best place to live, work and start a business in Northern Kentucky.”
