The City of Newport will hold the Newport Arts & Music Fest on Saturday, October 1, at the Newport History Museum at the Southgate Street School.
It has issued a “Call to Artists” to participate in the festival.
Artists/Artisans will have a reserved 10×10-ft. booth space for which they provide a canopy/tent, table and chair in the Hofbrahaus parking lot adjacent to the History Museum. The fee to participate is $30, which includes the city’s Temporary Occupational License.
To receive an application, contact Bev Holiday at bholiday@newportky.gov by Monday, September 19.
The event showcases artists who are Newport residents or have handmade arts designs for sale. All participants must be selling original pieces/designs offering a variety of mediums — oil, water, jewelry, photography, pottery, resin, glass, wood, etc.
Music and food are part of the day’s activities.
The Newport Arts & Music Fest is from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Newport History Museum @ The Southgate Street School – 215 East Southgate Street.
