Covington Police have Cameron Chambers, 30, of Cincinnati in connection with an investigation of several reported instances of sexual abuse in the Mainstrasse neighborhood of Covington.

Officers had received separate reports of a strange man groping six different women in different locations throughout the Mainstrasse neighborhood between September 2022 and June 2023.

Every report included a similar description of the suspect and/or a similar description of his methods.

The investigation was assigned to Det. Austin Ross, who has been relentless in his search for the suspect responsible. Chambers was identified as a person of interest and today Det. Ross was able to gather enough evidence to charge Chambers with Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree for the most recent event on June 2, 2023.

Chambers has been lodged in the Kenton County Detention Center with a $1000 bond and court orders to stay out of the Mainstrasse neighborhood should he make his bond and be released.

“We know Chambers’ repeated behavior has been a serious concern to those both living in and visiting the Mainstrasse area for many months,” said a Covington police department spokesman. “The Covington Police Department does not tolerate such egregious and offensive activity and we hope Chambers’ arrest brings a sense of relief to those who live here and visit. We would like to thank everyone who came forward with information, provided video surrounding the incident, or took the time to report what happened.”

Detective Ross continues to investigate the matter in search of further evidence.

If you have any information, please contact Det. Ross at 859-292-2242 or Cincinnati/NKY Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
