“The mission and vision of Scouting transcends race, religion, gender, and geography,” said Zahn. “And each year it is incredibly humbling to see leaders, such as Paul Verst, come together to ensure Scouting continues to develop youth who are exceptionally prepared to lead in their own way to make a positive impact in their personal lives, professions, and communities throughout their lifetime.”

“Receiving the 2024 Good Scout Award is a great honor,” said Paul Verst, Chairman and CEO of Verst Logistics. “The Scouting program played a pivotal role in shaping my son Chris, who achieved Eagle Scout status in 2005 and is now the Director of Transportation at Verst. I faithfully support and am genuinely dedicated to the Scouts’ mission and vision, and I look forward to witnessing how Dan Beard Council will leave a lasting, positive mark on our youth for generations to come.”
