The Enzweiler Building Institute has been awarded a $30,000 grant from the RC Durr Foundation, distributed over two years, to provide crucial support to the institute’s mission of delivering vocational education and training to individuals pursuing careers in the building trades.
The grant funds will be allocated as follows: $20,000 will be used to provide scholarships to deserving students, helping to alleviate the financial burden associated with their education. This support will enable more students to access the institute’s comprehensive programs and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the construction industry.
In addition to scholarships, $10,000 of the grant will be dedicated to materials support. This funding will ensure that the Enzweiler Building Institute has the resources needed to maintain state-of-the-art training facilities and offer hands-on learning experiences with up-to-date tools and materials. These resources are essential for preparing students to meet the demands of the modern construction industry.
“We are incredibly grateful to the RC Durr Foundation for their continued support of our educational initiatives,” said Brian Miller, Executive Vice President at BIA-NKY and President of the Enzweiler Building Institute. “This grant will have a significant impact on our ability to provide top-notch training and expand opportunities for students who are eager to enter the building trades. The investment in scholarships and materials will help us maintain the high standards of our programs and ensure that our graduates are well-prepared to contribute to the industry.”
