NKyTribune offers first free community session, Wellness Strategies for Home and Work with Jessica Morris

By Judy Clabes
NKyTribune editor

The NKyTribune is launching a series of sessions of general community interest that are free to all and are designed to touch on wide-ranging topics of interest to individuals and small businesses. The programs are our way of further connecting to our community — while providing a useful service and an opportunity for neighbors to connect to neighbors in an enjoyable way while learning something in the process.

The first session is Wellness Strategies for Work and Home to be held Thursday 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Kenton County Public Library in Independence. (1992 Walton Nicholson Road)

Refreshments will be served.

Jessica Morris, ATC, MBA, Wellness Strategist, Culture Champion, and Change Cultivator, will explore essential wellness strategies that can enhance both your professional and personal life. Focusing on the pillars of self-care, boundary-setting, resilience, movement, and gratitude, she will discuss with you how these practices can lead to a more balanced, fulfilling life.

By integrating these wellness strategies into your daily routine, you can achieve greater balance, improve your well-being, and lead a more fulfilling life both at work and at home.

Key take-a-ways will include:

• The Importance of Self-Care: Understanding how prioritizing your physical, mental, and emotional well-being can improve overall quality of life.

• Setting Boundaries: Learning to create healthy boundaries between work and home life to prevent burnout and maintain a positive work-life balance.

• Building Resilience: Strategies for developing mental toughness and adaptability in the face of challenges, both at work and in personal life.

• Moving More: The benefits of incorporating regular physical activity into your daily routine, and how small changes can make a big impact on your health.

• Cultivating an Attitude of Gratitude: The power of gratitude in fostering a positive mindset, improving relationships, and enhancing overall well-being.

Morris has a passion for motivating and supporting others in their well-being journey. She is a thought leader in health and wellness. She is a board-certified athletic trainer, personal trainer, and health coach.
She is an alum of Thomas More University and Northern Kentucky University and mother of two children.
