NKyTribune’s second free event: ‘How to Connect to your Hispanic Customers’ set for Friday

The NKyTribune will present the second in its inaugural series of community gatherings with “How to Connect with Your Hispanic Customers” featuring expert Karla C. Boldery who will share her expertise on Friday, 8:30-9:30 a.m. at First Financial Bank, 601 Madison Avenue, in Covington.

The session is free to attendees, thanks to series sponsor Amazon, and to First Financial Bank and the Covington Business Council.

In offering these free sessions, which encourage networking and engagement, the NKyTribune hopes to provide an environment for the free exchange of ideas, stimulate thinking about community involvement, help neighbors connect with neighbors and help connect small businesses with others who share their interests. Refreshments will be served.

This session will be presented by Karla C. Boldery (Cárdenas-Álvarez), a highly accomplished business professional, entrepreneur, and the 2023 Ohio SBDC State Star, recognized for her outstanding contributions to small business development. She currently serves as the Business Development Director for the Ohio Small Business Development Centers at Miami University Regionals.

In addition to her role at the SBDC, Boldery holds the position of General Market Manager for La Mega Media, Inc., the largest Hispanic media platform in Ohio. Leveraging her extensive experience in small business, media and marketing.

Her exceptional leadership garnered recognition as the 2017 SBA Partner of the Year for advancing the Hispanic business community. Further accolades include being named a 2018 Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan by the Ohio Commission of Hispanic and Latino Affairs (OCHLA) and inclusion in the Cincinnati Business Courier Forty under 40 in 2015.

Beyond her professional roles, she founded and leads the transformative Latina Entrepreneur Academy in Cincinnati.

She is actively involved in various advisory boards, including the MBAC Advisory Board for the Greater Cincinnati African American Chamber of Commerce since January 2019, OKI’s Environmental Justice Advisory Committee since September 2019, Corporation of Findlay Market Board, and the Inclusive Excellence Advisory Board at the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business since January 2022. These roles highlight her commitment to education, economic empowerment, and inclusive excellence in her community.
