The Friends of NorthKey has announced the launch of the annual Ray of Hope virtual auction event.
As the organization’s top fundraising initiative, the event is crucial in supporting NorthKey clients and their families. Last year, The Friends contributed over $40,000 to enhance various NorthKey programs and services.
NorthKey seeks to provide the right service, at the right time and in the right place. Its mission statement is “transforming lives and communities through excellence in mental health, substance use and developmental disability services.” Since 1966, NorthKey has provided mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities services where they are needed most — in the community. The staff delivers services based in research and integrated into the 8-county Northern Kentucky region.
This year’s auction is again being held online, allowing participants to bid on a diverse array of items from the comfort of their homes. The event will continue until Monday, September 16. Auction items include exciting options such as various gift baskets, sports apparel, resort stays, zoo and museum tickets, and even a special date night package featuring a diamond necklace.
Over the past year, The Friends have made significant contributions, including:
• $10,000 in scholarships to NorthKey clients for educational advancement
• Non-perishable food bags for homeless clients
• Halloween and Christmas Drive-thrus, offering gift bags, pizza, pumpkins, and more to child case management clients and their families
• Warming blankets and tents for homeless clients during the winter
• Holiday hams and turkeys for families in need
This year’s auction will help The Friends of NorthKey continue vital work in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges in our community.
