Aviatra Accelerators has launched a new incubator in Covington’s Innovation Alley, adjacent to the organization’s current offices. The Aviatra Incubator is designed to provide early-stage women entrepreneurs in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with the resources, mentorship, and community they need to accelerate their businesses, furthering Aviatra’s mission to empower women to start and grow their companies.
The incubator goes beyond traditional startup support by offering a safe, comfortable and collaborative space where women can connect, share knowledge and grow alongside fellow female entrepreneurs.
“Our goal is to foster an ecosystem of mutual support and level the playing field for women-owned businesses,” said Jill Morenz, Aviatra President and CEO. “Many early-stage female entrepreneurs don’t have easy access to the resources they need to start and accelerate their businesses, such as affordable office space, funding opportunities and experienced mentors. The incubator aims to reduce those barriers and address some of the specific challenges women face in entrepreneurship.”
The Aviatra Incubator will offer:
• Below-market-rate dedicated office space for six women-owned businesses
• Co-working space for women business owners
• Pop-up retail space for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products
• Versatile event space for any company or individual holding meetings, classes, retreats, or other professional gatherings
In addition to offering low-cost office space, the incubator also provides membership in Aviatra’s paid community, which offers support and accountability to help women business owners succeed and get to the next level of growth.
The new incubator contributes to the economic vitality of Covington by spurring innovation and economic growth in the region.
“Rooted in Aviatra’s mission to empower women to start and grow their businesses, we’re creating a community that will foster innovation and creativity, encouraging collaboration and helping women navigate the challenges of starting and scaling a business,” said Aviatra Board Chair Maggie Frye.
