Cooper golfer finishes high school career among leaders in girls state tournament for third straight year

Cooper senior Reagan Ramage ended her high school golf career Saturday tied for fourth place in the girls state tournament at Bowling Green Country Club.

Ramage shot 3-over 75 in both rounds of the two-day tournament for a 150 total. The top three scorers were Rowan County junior Athena Singh (70-69-139), Cumberland County sophomore Kenzie Willen (75-73-148) and Louisville Sacred Heart senior Emma Lindemoen (75-74-149).

This is the third consecutive year that Ramage finished among the state tournament leaders. She placed fourth as a junior and fifth as a sophomore to earn first-team all-state honors twice.

In Saturday’s final round, Ramage had three birdies and six bogeys. She played in a threesome that included Singh, who posted four birdies and one bogey for a 3-under 69 that clinched the medalist trophy.

This was the sixth consecutive year that Ramage played in the girls state tournament. The Western Kentucky University recruit was medalist in the Region 7 tournament the last five years.

The other local golfers in the state tournament were Dixie Heights sophomore Tatjana Andracenko (79-78-157), Ryle junior Anika Okuda (84-78-162), Notre Dame senior Didi Jiradamkerng (82-87-169) and Brossart senior Emma Laker (94-90-184).

Andracenko tied for 11th place in her state tournament debut. Okuda tied to 22nd place to finish among the top 25 scorers for the second straight year.

Sacred Heart won the girls team title for the second consecutive year with a two-day total of 626. Madison Central placed second in the eight-team standings with a 638 total.
