The Cancer Support Community of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky (CSC) has announced the Stronger than Cancer Celebration will be held November 14 at Hotel Covington.
Presented by St. Elizabeth Healthcare, the event aims to honor the strength and resilience of individuals affected by cancer and to foster a sense of community among survivors, caregivers, and supporters.
Bob Herzog is set to return as emcee for the Celebration, reaffirming his commitment to the mission and the cancer community. Join for an evening filled with impactful stories, community connections, and a chance to celebrate the power of community in the face of adversity.
The event features a strolling dinner, bar, raffles, live auction, and the presentation of our 2024 Stronger than Cancer Award to Legacies Upscale Resale Store. Celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, Legacies has provided significant support to the organization, contributing over $5 million to our mission.
“Last year alone, we served over 4,000 individuals and families, providing more than 12,000 hours of support. But numbers only tell part of the story,” said Kelly Schoen, executive director of CSC. “It’s the smiles, the renewed hope, and the sense of belonging that truly define our work. And through this critical event, we will reach more lives and bring more smiles, hope and belonging to a community in need of free cancer care and support services”
Proceeds from the event will support the Cancer Support Community’s programs, which provide essential resources, education, programming, and support to individuals and families impacted by cancer at no cost to them.
The Stronger than Cancer Celebration will be held Thursday, November 14 from 6-9 p.m., with after party 9-11 p.m., at The Lightwell at NORTH by Hotel Covington located at 19 E Pike St in Covington.
