Kentucky Farm Bureau has announced that “FREDdy, White and Blue” was the winning design in its America250 T-shirt contest, selected by public vote from six original designs celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The design features Freddy Farm Bureau dressed as a Revolutionary War-era patriot, carrying the American flag.

It will serve as KFB’s official America250 T-shirt throughout the year.
For the first time, the shirt will be available for purchase by the general public through a special two-week pre-order sale. Orders can be placed at kyfb.com/Freddy250 from now through midnight on April 15.
The shirt gives supporters a chance to celebrate a longtime Kentucky State Fair tradition while also contributing to the future of Kentucky students. Proceeds from shirt sales will benefit the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation, supporting youth from across the state as they pursue their higher education goals.
“Freddy has been a beloved part of the Kentucky State Fair for more than 65 years, and this design captures both the patriotic spirit of America’s 250th anniversary and the pride we have in Kentucky agriculture,” said B. Todd Bright, communication director for Kentucky Farm Bureau.
Freddy Farm Bureau made his first appearance at the Kentucky State Fair in 1958 and has greeted fairgoers ever since without missing a single day. He is widely recognized as the unofficial meeting spot of the Kentucky Exposition Center, as generations of fairgoers have said, “Meet me at Freddy,” referring to his place on the front porch of Freedom Hall.
Beyond being a landmark, Freddy serves as KFB’s agricultural ambassador, sharing the story of Kentucky farming and food production with the public.
Kentucky Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm organization with nearly 475,000 member families.
