
The Flying Pig Community Scholars Program on Thursday awarded $20,000 scholarships to 24 area high school athletes, including six Northern Kentuckians, who compete in track and field or cross country for their schools.
The student-athletes were honored at the annual Flying Pig Community Scholars breakfast at Music Hall.
The scholarship winners and their schools are:

From its beginnings in 2018, the Flying Pig Scholars program has grown from a one-time scholarship of $2,500 in 2018 to $20,000 for 24 students. The scholarship program has committed $1.32 million toward the education of 66 students from this area.
The annual Spirit of the Pig award was also presented during the breakfast. Former board member and long-time volunteer Mary Enzweiler was named recipient ot the 2026 award.
Pig Works Board Chair Mark Ramler was the keynote speaker for the event.
