St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky (SVdP NKY) has crowned Celanese Florence as the champion of the its third “Food Fight Against Hunger.”

A total of six local businesses and organizations took part in the friendly competition between April 6 and April 20 to collect food and essential items for families facing food insecurity.
Celanese Florence collected 210 pounds of non-perishable food, hygiene products, pet supplies, and other essentials. In total, participating teams contributed more than 542 pounds of supplies to help stock SVdP NKY’s Choice Food Pantries in Cold Spring and Erlanger ahead of the busy summer months, when children may not have access to free school breakfast or lunches.
“We want to sincerely thank all of our incredible teams for stepping up to support our neighbors in need,” said Becca Gerding, SVdP NKY Programs Director. “Families rely on our food pantries not only for meals but also for hygiene and household items. Thanks to competitors like these, we provided over $1.3 million in food assistance to more than 43,000 people last year.”
