The Kentucky State Treasury’s Unclaimed Property team will host an outreach event in Kenton County on Friday, June 12, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at 5272 Madison Pike in Independence
Treasury staff will be on-site to assist Kenton County residents in searching for unclaimed property and filing claims. The process is free, quick, and typically only takes a few minutes.
Currently, more than $23.5 million in unclaimed property is available for Kenton County residents to claim.
Many Kentuckians are surprised to learn they have funds waiting to be recovered, including forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, insurance proceeds, utility deposits, and other assets.
Residents may also search for unclaimed property at any time by visiting treasury.ky.gov.
