Southbank Shakespeare will kick of their summer season with William Shakespeare’s comedy Twelfth Night in a free outdoor production on the Observatory Lawn at Thomas More University.
Performances will take place June 18–21 at 7 p.m.
The production will transport the play’s setting of Illyria to a sun-soaked tropical paradise filled with vibrant colors, island-inspired music, and plenty of summer fun. Audiences can expect all the mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, practical jokes, and larger-than-life characters that have made Twelfth Night one of Shakespeare’s most enduring comedies.
Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for an entertaining evening of outdoor theatre under the summer sky.
Designed to appeal to both longtime Shakespeare enthusiasts and those experiencing his work for the first time, the production continues Southbank Shakespeare’s mission of making classical theatre accessible and engaging for the Northern Kentucky community. By presenting high-quality performances in welcoming outdoor spaces, the company introduces new audiences to the excitement and joy of live theatre.
Performances of Twelfth Night will be held June 18, 19, 20, and 21 at 7 p.m. on the Observatory Lawn at Thomas More University. Admission is free.
