The City of Florence is inviting professional artists and artist led teams to submit proposals for a new permanent public art installation at Florence Nature Park, located at 7200 Nature Park Drive.
The project is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public spaces through art that celebrates Florence’s natural beauty, history, and community identity. Selected artwork will be installed at designated locations identified in the city’s recently adopted Florence Nature Park Sculpture Art Master Plan.

The request for proposals (RFP) will be publicly advertised beginning July 16. Interested artists and artists led teams may request a copy of the RFP from the City of Florence. Proposals will be accepted until the RFP opening on August 12.
Artists are asked to submit complete proposals that include a conceptual design, fabrication plan, installation methodology, and project budget. ArtsWave – Cincinnati will assist the city in administering the RFP, coordinating communications with applicants, and participating in the evaluation process. A selection committee will review all proposals and recommend a final artist or artist led team for the project.
The city strongly encourages submissions from artists living in Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati region. While proposals are welcome from qualified artists nationwide, preference will be given to artwork that reflects a meaningful connection to the Florence community and the unique natural character of Florence Nature Park.
“Public art has the power to create memorable places, inspire creativity, and strengthen community pride,” said Mayor Julie Aubuchon. “We are excited to welcome artists who can bring a unique vision to Florence Nature Park and create a lasting destination for residents and visitors to enjoy.”
