Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Certified Farm Market: McGlasson Farms — u-pick or find fresh produce in store

Summer is one of the best times of the year to visit a Kentucky Farm Bureau Certified Farm Market. Open this summer in Boone County is McGlasson Farms. With fresh summer favorites, like tomatoes, squash and berries now ready for harvest, this market gives families an easy way to support Kentucky agriculture close to home.

Other Boone County markets in the KFB Certified Farm Market Program are Eagle Bend Alpacas/Eagle Bend’s Yarn & Fiber Shop and Kinman Farm Market.

Whether you are picking up fresh sweet corn for dinner, taking the kids out for some farm fun or simply looking for Kentucky-grown products, buying local at Certified Farm Markets allows the Boone County community to enjoy fresh-from-the-field produce while directly supporting its local farm families.

KFB’s Certified Farm Market Program ensures each market meets high standards of quality, freshness and marketing appeal.

“Summer is when our Certified Farm Markets really shine, with fresh Kentucky-grown food coming straight from the farmers who raise it,” said KFB President Eddie Melton. “The certification gives consumers a trusted sign that what they’re taking home was grown with care right here in Kentucky, and visiting these markets is one of the best ways to support our farm families.”
