Gary Williams’ Martial Arts has served Erlanger and the Northern Kentucky region since 1992 and has been located in Erlanger for the past 26 years. Their motto is “changing lives in a positive way,” and owner Gary Williams says this motto helps drive the services they offer the community.

Williams said that when he was younger, he wanted to grow up to be Chuck Norris, but as he progressed in martial arts, he learned the sport was more than just fighting.

“It’s not about beating people up,” said Williams. “It’s a lifestyle,”

Martial arts teaches self-control, focus, and conflict avoidance — all skills that the team at GWMA hopes to instill in its trainees.

“By growing his business right here in our city, Gary hasn’t just built a life-changing martial arts academy, he has strengthened Erlanger’s business community,” said Nick Eads, Erlanger’s economic development director.

Gary Williams’ Martial Arts offers a variety of programs, including preschool training, classes for kids, teens, and adults, fitness camps, kickboxing classes, and after-school programs. The GWMA team also offers summer camp for kids wanting to learn more about martial arts in an extended format.
