Kentucky’s men’s basketball schedule has been finalized.
The Wildcats will play three exhibition games before the season opener against Manhattan on Nov. 3. Kentucky will take on Little Rock, coached by former Kentucky guard Travis Ford, on Oct. 16, followed by Texas Tech on Oct. 23 and Central Florida on Oct. 28 at Rupp Arena.
Kentucky will play 10 of its 14 non-conference games at home, highlighted by Wichita State on Nov. 27 and Louisville on Dec. 12.
The team’s marquee games are against Kansas in the Champions Classic on Nov. 10 in Chicago, followed by Indiana in Indianapolis on Nov. 20, at Virginia on Dec. 2 in the SEC-ACC Challenge, and North Carolina in the CBS Sports Classic in New York on Dec. 19.
Times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
FOOTBALL: Brown named assistant GM
Alex Brown was officially named assistant general manager for Kentucky’s football team, Wildcats coach Will Stein announced.
Brown previously served as a national scout for the East-West Shrine Bowl and as a scout for the Atlanta Falcons. He will work under Kentucky GM Pete Nochta.
“Alex brings a tremendous combination of college personnel experience and NFL scouting expertise to our program,” Stein said. “He is an outstanding evaluator who understands roster construction and the importance of building strong relationships throughout the recruiting process. His experience leading personnel departments at a high level will be extremely valuable. We’re excited to welcome Alex to Kentucky.”
Brown also served as director of player personnel at Ole Miss from 2024-25. He has also worked at SMU, Houston and Rice
