The Thomas More University podcast More to the Story is gearing up to begin its season starting this fall.

More to the Story is Thomas More University’s official podcast that features students, faculty, and professors from all across campus to shed light on how each student has a different purpose and path in life.

Originally starting in 2025, the podcast’s host, senior Sports and Entertainment Marketing major Michael Weller, worked with former Director of Communication and Public Relations, Kristen Gallagher, and former Communications Graduate Assistant Kendra Yurt to brainstorm what the podcast would be about.

Gallagher, Weller, and Yurt landed on the three major themes of momentum, sustainability, and mental health, which have all been the focal point of the podcast’s episodes so far.

“I thought, ‘what’s going to appeal to the people?’” said Weller.

From there, the podcast has brought on many subjects such as Jeramie Connor, the university’s Dean of Students, to discuss how he plans to move the university’s community forward.

“It’s comforting for me to know that those of Thomas More University care for me,” said Weller.

For the new season, Weller said that he wants to bring on as many people from diverse backgrounds as possible. He anticipates including those in athletics, to even possibly a priest, so that all different kinds of voices on campus can be heard.

Weller also hopes to be adding a new overarching theme to the three already established.

“I want to add the theme of campus ministry,” said Weller. “And spot how the Catholic identity is influencing everyone on campus.”

Moreover, this season look for a larger social media presence for the podcast and a live podcast and panel for Q&A happening on Thomas More University’s campus in the fall.
