From maintaining roads and supporting economic development to addressing housing, public safety, and quality of life, county governments play a critical role in shaping Northern Kentucky. The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is bringing together leadership from local county governments for a discussion on how local elected officials shape Northern Kentucky’s three counties.
Government Forum: County Leadership Shaping Northern Kentucky will take place from 11:30 a.m.=1 p.m. Friday, August 28, at Turfway Park Racing & Gaming (7500 Turfway Road, Florence).
This timely conversation will highlight the role of county commissioners and how county government impacts everything from transportation, housing, and healthcare to economic development and quality of life in the Northern Kentucky region.
Commissioners from each county will be the event’s featured speakers: Boone County Commissioner Jesse Brewer, Campbell County Commissioner Tom Lampe, and Kenton County Commissioner Beth Sewell. Brent Cooper, President and CEO, at the NKY Chamber, will moderate the discussion.
“Businesses are most directly impacted by legislation and regulation that happens on a local level, and this is a great opportunity to hear from our county commissioners and learn about their day-to-day role in local government,” said Tami Wilson, NKY Chamber Vice President of Government Relations and Business Advocacy.
