KRPS to host District 5 Cornhole Classic Fundraiser at The Down of Nicholson Sept. 26


The Kentucky Recreation and Parks Society will host its annual District 5 fundraiser on September 26 at the Downs of Nicholson.

The Cornhole Classic serves as a fundraiser to support KRPS’s efforts throughout District 5, which includes Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Henry, Kenton, Owen, Pendleton, Robertson, and Trimble counties. This year, representatives from Kenton County, the City of Independence, the City of Erlanger, and the City of Edgewood will serve as the event committee.

The event will take place at The Downs of Nicholson venue on Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The entry fee for teams of two is $50. Registrations can be completed online at kentuckyrecandparksociety.myrec.com.

KRPS was organized in 1953 as a non-profit professional association for Kentucky’s parks and recreation professionals. The Society is an affiliate member of the National Recreation and Park Association, headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia.

KRPS offers a variety of workshops and networking opportunities for government professionals with an emphasis on parks, sports and recreation, aquatics, playgrounds, leadership, sports fields, and parks maintenance.
