The League of Women Voters of Kentucky on Wednesday released its first-ever KY Legislative Voting Report.
The 2026 report, available on the league’s website, provides a compilation of legislators’ votes on bills and resolutions for which LWVKY stated a position. As a nonpartisan organization, the LWVKY does not support or oppose candidates or political parties; our positions on issues are rooted in our 106-year history of championing voting rights and empowering all citizens to participate in government.
During the 2026 General Assembly session, LWVKY took a position on 76 bills and seven resolutions. Fifteen bills became law, and two joint resolutions were enacted. Citizens can see legislators’ final votes on those bills and resolutions. In addition, citizens can review the remaining bills on which the League issued policy positions. The Report reveals whether those bills advanced during the session, and how legislators voted if the bills made it to the House or Senate floor.
The Report provides insight into the General Assembly’s priorities as they relate to the League’s policy positions. This Report is the next step in the League’s ongoing work to promote citizen participation via its transparency and citizen participation reports.
