Dixie Heights High School will celebrate three alumni, including a beloved educator, and a historic soccer team at its 2026 Distinguished Alumni Celebration on Wednesday, November 4, at 6 p.m. at The View at Mt. Adams in Cincinnati.
This year’s honorees are:
● Franklin D. Hicks ’49, a decorated U.S. Army lieutenant colonel who served two combat tours in Vietnam. After 21 years in the military, he built a 40-year career in Northern Kentucky real estate and remained active in organizations supporting education and the community.
● Jessica LaCorte Fette ’03, Erlanger’s first female mayor and a local entrepreneur. Her work includes expanding city services, creating new parks, founding the Youth Leadership Academy of Erlanger, and supporting culinary entrepreneurs through Baker Street Kitchen.
● Kenneth Eugene Record ’68, a pharmacy educator and researcher who taught and mentored nearly 5,000 students during 46 years at the University of Kentucky. His research helped improve medication use and patient care, and his contributions to pharmacy have been recognized nationally.
● Adlyn Racke Ware, a Distinguished Educator who taught Spanish and English at Dixie Heights for nearly four decades. She established an early language lab, founded the Colonelettes and created the Dixie Follies, bringing students together through performance and learning.
● The 1987 Men’s Soccer Team, a Team of Distinction coached by Jane Coyle. The Colonels finished as state runners-up after reaching the boys soccer state championship match for the first and only time in program history.
The celebration gives alumni and community members an opportunity to reconnect while recognizing people whose achievements continue to inspire Dixie Heights students.
Tickets are $40 per person and are available at gofan.co/event.
