Gateway Community and Technical College has announced a vehicle donation from the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family during a ceremony hosted at the dealer group’s corporate headquarters this week.
The event began with a guided tour of the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family corporate facilities and Automotive Museum. Following the tour, representatives from both organizations gathered for the official vehicle unveiling and donation presentation.

Gateway students and faculty attended an informational session on the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family Apprentice Program, which highlights career pathways and workforce opportunities available to emerging automotive professionals in the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati area.
The vehicle will provide Gateway automotive students with hands-on learning opportunities using modern technology and diagnostics.
The donated vehicle, a Hyundai Tucson, joins Gateway’s fleet of training vehicles. It will give students direct, hands-on experience troubleshooting and servicing current-model components, including modern engine systems, advanced driver-assistance features, and networked electronic controls.
“We are deeply grateful to the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family for their investment in our students and our program,” said Rodney Foltz, assistant dean and assistant professor of diesel technology. “Having access to modern vehicles ensures our graduates step directly into the workforce with the relevant, real-world experience that today’s employers demand.”

“We are proud to support Gateway and the students who are preparing for careers in the automotive industry,” said David Wyler, CEO of Jeff Wyler Automotive Family. “As vehicle technology continues to advance, the need for skilled technicians who understand these systems is greater than ever. Donations like this help students gain valuable hands-on experience with the vehicles and technology they will encounter in the workplace. We want to help create opportunities for the next generation of technicians and ensure they have the tools and training they need to build successful careers.”
Gateway’s Automotive Technology program prepares graduates for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) industry credentials, equipping students for careers with automobile dealerships, independent repair shops, and transportation fleets across the region.
