This November, Barleycorn’s Brewhouse is celebrating the second anniversary of Valiant, its beer created in support of Disabled American Veterans, with a new American Amber Lager, expanded distribution and another year of supporting the DAV 5K.

“Valiant has always been about more than making a great beer,” said Shane Trego, brewmaster at Barleycorn’s Brewhouse. “It’s our way of saying thank you to the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country. Seeing how much it’s grown over the past two years, and knowing we’re helping DAV continue the important work they do, is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

First introduced in 2024, Valiant was created to recognize the courage and sacrifices of the men and women who have served our country while raising awareness and funds for DAV’s mission. Over the past two years, the beer has grown beyond the Brewhouse, finding its way onto store shelves and into the hands of more customers who want to support a cause that matters.

Just in time for Veterans Day, the new Valiant American Amber Lager will be available beginning Friday. With 10% of the retail purchase price of qualifying sales benefiting DAV, every purchase continues to make a difference for veterans and their families.

As part of the anniversary celebration, Barleycorn’s Brewhouse is once again a Promise Sponsor of the DAV 5K, taking place Saturday, November 7, at The Banks in downtown Cincinnati. The annual event brings together veterans, military families and supporters to walk, roll, run or ride in support of those who have served. Valiant will also be available during the event weekend at Jefferson Social, located at 101 E. Freedom Way, Tin Roof, located at 160 Freedom Way, Suite 150, and Cincinnati Lager House, located at 115 Joe Nuxhall Way, all in Cincinnati.

Continuing its growth throughout the region, Valiant will be available at 10 participating Northern Kentucky Kroger stores, along with local retailers including Good Spirits in Taylor Mill, Independence and Crescent Springs, Bluegrass Carryout in Highland Heights, Party Town, Spear Ridge General Stores, Liquor Barn and The Party Source. Valiant will also be available on draft and in cans at Barleycorn’s Brewhouse, located at 402 Licking Pike in Wilder, Kentucky, on draft at Barleycorn’s locations in Cold Spring, Florence and Lakeside Park and at Pompilio’s in Newport, and in cans at Three Spirits Tavern in Bellevue.

As Valiant enters its third year, Barleycorn’s Brewhouse looks forward to continuing to grow the brand while staying true to the purpose that inspired it. What started with a single beer has become an ongoing opportunity for the community to come together, raise a glass and give back to those who have given so much.
