OneQuest Health on Monday announced it has received a second $1 million investment from the Yung Family Foundation.
The previous investment focused on infrastructure, digital access, and talent strategy. The latest $1 million gift will underwrite personnel costs. Specifically, it will support the recruitment and retention of integrated medical care and clinical treatment service providers. The gift will benefit OneQuest Health’s entire service region, which includes the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as southern Ohio and Indiana.
The investment arrives at a particularly critical time for Kentucky:

• 3.4 million Kentuckians live in mental health professional shortage areas.
• Some Kentucky counties have a ratio of over 4,000 citizens for every one mental health care professional. The national average is roughly 350 to one.
• These shortages play a role in 54.1% of Kentucky youth with major depression receiving no treatment.
“The Foundation’s second $1 million investment in OneQuest Health in as many years reflects the Yung Family Foundation’s unwavering confidence in what this organization is building,” said Derek Haught, foundation director. “When you see a team dedicated to delivering integrated, whole-person care to those who need it most, you don’t step back—you lean in. This is all the more important when state and federal support is often insufficient or lacking,” said.
OneQuest Health, previously known as CHNK Behavioral Health, continues to scale services to meet Kentucky’s growing mental health crisis. The organization has increased its workforce and clinical capacity by 150% since 2022. It established a partnership for workforce development with Northern Kentucky University, and last month announced the opening of a new Louisville outpatient facility.
“We serve a population that relies overwhelmingly on Medicaid, and we are proud to do so—but we cannot pretend that the current reimbursement landscape makes it easy,” said Rick Wurth, CEO of OneQuest Health. “The funding we receive from supporters like the Yung Family Foundation is what allows us to retain exceptional clinical talent, expand integrated services, and keep our doors open to the people who need us most. Mr. and Mrs. Yung, their family members, and the Foundation don’t just believe in our mission; they make it financially viable.”
