St. Elizabeth Physicians (SEP) celebrated its five-year anniversary with a fun-filled baseball-themed event for all employees recently at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington. Close to 1,400 associates attended back-to-back sessions that included skits, awards and a look into the future.
“What we really wanted to do was say thank you to all the dedicated and talented providers and associates from every corner of our organization,” said Dr. Glenn Loomis, Chief Executive Officer of St. Elizabeth Physicians. “We want every member of our team to know how much they are appreciated and how much we value the way in which they care for the Northern Kentucky community each and every day.”

SEP was formed in January 2010 when Patient First Physician Group and Summit Medical Group merged to become St. Elizabeth Physicians.
In the past five years, SEP has grown from 761 providers and associates and 44 offices to 1,435 providers and associates and 109 offices. It has expanded service offerings to include more than 32 specialties including most recently Urology, Podiatry, Urogynecology and Behavioral Health. In 2014, SEP treated more than 279,000 patients.
“Our mission is clear: We want to provide the best and most coordinated patient care with the best outcomes in the region,” said Loomis, who arrived in September 2010. “Our physicians treat their family members, their friends, their neighbors and co-workers. That’s a responsibility we all take very seriously.”
The celebration’s baseball theme played off the fact that the 2015 All-Star Game will be played at Great American Ball Park in July. The SEP event included hot dogs, peanuts and Cracker Jack. Even Mr. Redlegs was on hand.

At the end of the sessions, Loomis presented three Servant Leadership Awards for extraordinary service and the embodiment of St. Elizabeth Physicians’ mission, vision and values. They were all nominated by co-workers. The recipients were:
· Lea Donley, Practice Manager, Aurora, Indiana
· Jonathan Koop, MD, Women’s Health Florence Turfway
· Linda Perry, Front Office Associate, Cold Spring Primary Care
“We wanted to have some fun today,” said Jacob Bast, Chief Operating Officer. “We made fun of ourselves. We laughed. And we celebrated some really great work by some really extraordinary people.”
