Holmes senior point guard James Bolden is one of four Kentucky boys’ high school basketball players nominated for the McDonald’s All-America Game.
Nominees from across the country are eligible to be among the final 24 players selected to play against each other in the 2015 McDonald’s All America Game on April 1 at the United Center in Chicago. The final 24 players will be selected during a nationally television program scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28 on ESPNU.
Bolden, a University of West Virginia recruit, is averaging 20 points, four rebounds and four assists for Holmes. He’s ranked 41st among the nation’s top point guards by the 247Sports website. The next game on the Holmes schedule is against Cooper at 7 p.m. Friday in the Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Classic at the NKU Bank of Kentucky Center.
The other Kentucky boys’ basketball players nominated for the McDonald’s All America Game are Aric Holman of Owensboro, Camron Justice of Knott County Central and Raymond Spalding of Louisville Trinity.
The nationwide nominees for the McDonald’s All America girls’ basketball game on April 1 include two Kentucky players – Maci Morris of Bell County and Morgan Rich of Allen County-Scottsville.
