Wine Over Water is an evening of tasting exquisite wines, local craft beer, and delectable foods — in a very special setting — all while raising funds to support Brighton Center.
The 8th Annual Wine Over Water tasting event, sponsored by BB&T bank, will be held on the Purple People Bridge on Saturday, from 6:30 – 10 p.m.
It will feature exceptional local wines from Baker-Bird Winery, Brianza Gardens & Winery, Elk Creek Vineyards, Horseshoe Bend Vineyards, StoneBrook Winery and an international tasting selection along with a selection of beers from Braxton Brewing Company. Each guest will receive six tasting tickets for wine or beer and six tickets for food tastings. Non-alcoholic options will also be available.
Food vendors will include B&B Riverboats, Brio Tuscan Grille, Buckhead Mountain Grill, Center Table Catering, and Hofbrauhaus. Live entertainment will be provided by Sound Body Jazz Orchestra and guests will enjoy spectacular sunset views from the bridge.
For an extra $15 guests can enjoy a separate VIP 30-minute premium international wine tasting led by Sommelier Shannon Depenbrock of DEPs Fine Wine complete with three additional wines and cheeses for pairings. Tickets for the VIP tasting are selling out fast and expected to be sold out before the event.
