The city of Erlanger has a free holiday train display at the city building, 505 Commonwealth Ave.
The display is provided in association American Eagle Railroad Group of Ludlow and features a “Holiday Model Train Display,” custom-made for the occasion.
The HO scale model train exhibit ushers in the festive sights and sounds of trains that have been a long historical attribute of the city. It features over 100 feet of operating trains, both steam and diesel and will provide plenty of fun for families.
Children will receive complimentary candy canes in addition to the opportunity to see miniature animated scenes along the tracks.
Visitors can spend a moment enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of multiple trains, operating ski lifts and cable ares while trying to find 50 hidden treasures on display.
The display is free to the public and can be viewed tonight (12/18) from 5 to 8 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 12/19, 12/26, 12/28, 12/29, 12/30, and 12/31.
Visitors can also enter to win a holiday raffle!
“We are excited to share our city’s deep history with trains with the public! The display took over a week to set up, and is loaded with hundreds of incredible (and sometimes funny) details. Please come out to join us!” says Mayor Tyson Hermes.
