Most people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work or in a public location die because they don’t receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene. At this free workshop, St. Elizabeth will teach you about heart attack signs and symptoms and how to respond to a heart emergency. This education event will include hands only CPR with practice.

The Great War in the Ardennes: A Woman’s Journal

In the early days of World War I, the German army occupied the valley of the Meuse in the Ardennes. Madeleine Chaineaux, a woman from a small town of the Meuse Valley, kept detailed journals of the French civilian experience of occupation, beginning in 1915. In honor of Women’s History Month, independent researcher Karen Upright explores the daily life of an ordinary woman during the Great War: her extraordinary empathy for those around her, her struggles to feed herself and her extended family, and her difficulties in navigating a complex web of requisitions, restrictions and deprivation.
