Tom Saelinger, market President of Republic Bank, presented a check for $5000 to the director of the Kenton County Library, Dave Schroeder. The donation was made to the library to support the expansion of the library’s successful STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education program.

Republic Bank supports educational opportunities in the region.

Bossier elected trustee of IPT

Shonita Bossier, director of the Securities Division of the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions, has been elected to serve as a trustee of the Investor Protection Trust (IPT), a national nonprofit devoted to investor education. She lives in Louisville. Bossier is an active member of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) and serves on several committees, including the Standardized Training and Technology Committee, and the Investment Adviser Section Committee.

In September 2013, she was featured as a “Money Hero” in Money magazine for working to help seniors avoid being victimized by fraud. The magazine noted: “… she’s working to help doctors and nurses identify cognitively impaired individuals vulnerable to rip-offs. ‘Seniors save hard to be secure.
