All in-person absentee voting will take place during normal business hours at the County Clerk’s Burlington location. In addition to the normal business hours the Burlington office will be open for in-person absentee voting 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 14.

State law requires County Clerks to start in-person absentee voting at least 12 days before Election Day, but Brown says he and the County Board of Elections feels it is important to give voters as much opportunity to cast their ballot as possible.

In person absentee voting is for registered voters who will be out of the county on Election Day, which is Tuesday, May 17.

Voters wanting to receive an absentee ballot via U.S. Mail can submit their request by calling the Voter Registration Department at 859/334-2130.
