A new Outback Steakhouse® is bloomin’ in Boone County and bringing 50 new jobs to the community.
Located in Florence at 8030 Mall Road, the new Outback will officially open to guests on May 3 at 11 a.m.
To mark the grand opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on opening day, organized by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
“We are so honored to be a part of the Florence community and look forward to hosting our new friends and neighbors for years to come,” said Tim Brown, managing partner of the Florence Outback Steakhouse. “We’re also looking forward to welcoming 50 new Outbackers with the opening of our new restaurant.”
As part of Outback Steakhouse’s ongoing nationwide charity give-back program, and to show its support for the Florence community, a portion of the restaurant’s opening day sales will be donated to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, ranked among the top three pediatric hospitals in the country, serving patients from all 50 states and 63 countries across the globe. Outback’s donation will also support the social work and Child Life programs in the medical center’s Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute (CBDI).
“We’re delighted to welcome Outback to the Florence community and are honored that they’ve chosen to partner with us,” said Jim Saporito, senior vice president of development at Cincinnati Children’s. “All that we’ve achieved – and will continue to achieve – is in partnership with those who share our vision of improving child health here in Greater Cincinnati, across the country and around the world. We really appreciate Outback’s support.”
The new Outback Steakhouse replaces a previous location in Crescent Springs, which closed on April 25. Guests at the new Outback will be able to enjoy signature grilled steaks, chicken and seafood entrees, and the Bloomin’ Onion, in a restaurant boasting the chain’s new “Modern Australia” design, with décor that mirrors the indigenous flora and fauna, adventure, geography and leisure of modern day Australia.
Featuring a spacious dining room and bar areas able to accommodate 227 guests, the 5,633-square foot restaurant will employ approximately 170 employees, 50 of whom are new hires.
