Turfway Park is giving race fans a jump on purchasing tickets to Northern Kentucky’s premier sporting event, The Jeff Ruby Steaks.

These early release tickets are located in the VIP venue at its signature springtime event.  Scheduled for March 9, the Jeff Ruby Steaks is one of the few races across the United States, Europe, Japan and Dubai designated as an official prep race for the legendary Kentucky Derby.

Tickets to the VIP tent are available for $165 now through 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31 by accessing www.turfway.com/stakes. Beginning January 1, each VIP tent ticket will be $185.

Renowned restaurateur Jeff Ruby assumed sponsorship of Turfway Park’s Derby prep race with the 2018 running, a partnership that has major impact on the VIP tent experience. Guests in the tent enjoy food prepared by the acclaimed chefs of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment as well as the impeccable service for which Jeff Ruby restaurants are famous. The open bars are stocked with premium brands and are included in the ticket price.

Between races, VIP tent guests can enjoy live entertainment from the Eden Park band, browse luxury shopping opportunities and bid on Maker’s Mark bottles with blank labels that will boast the winning bidder’s professionally drawn caricature. Proceeds from the bottles benefit Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship of Milford, Ohio.

As it approaches its 48th running, the Jeff Ruby Steaks carries a $200,000 purse and Grade 3 status. The feature race is supported by five undercard stakes: the Bourbonette Oaks, a designated prep for the Kentucky Oaks; the Kentucky Cup Classic; the Rushaway Stakes; the Latonia Stakes; and the Animal Kingdom Stakes, named for the 2011 Kentucky Derby winner who prepped for his historic victory by winning the Turfway Park race.

The VIP tent will open at 11 a.m. with post time for the first of the day’s 12 races at 1:10 p.m.
