Brighton Center, Inc. will host a Community Celebration on Friday, October 4, from 3–6 p.m.in the lot at the corner of 8th and Ann Streets in Newport.
This Community Celebration is open to everyone and will feature free food and drinks, games, prizes, and music.
The Community Celebration is an opportunity to celebrate the individuals, families, and businesses who live and work in Northern Kentucky and to thank them for being a part of Brighton Center’s Community of Support.
The celebration began in the 1980’s as a warm welcome to families from Appalachia who recently moved to Newport and has since evolved into a vibrant celebration of Newport’s diverse culture and community spirit.
From modest beginnings in 1966, Brighton Center has grown to provide a wide range of programs and services, which include meeting basic needs, adult and early childhood education, youth services, housing & financial wellness, workforce development, substance abuse recovery for women, and neighborhood-based programs.
Brighton Center wraps a community of support around individuals and families by tackling the issues that prevent people from becoming self-sufficient and partnering with them on their journey so that goals can be achieved and dreams realized.
During the last fiscal year, Brighton Center impacted the lives of 31,076 individuals, from infants to older adults, across all 8 counties of Northern Kentucky and beyond. Knowing that the challenges families and communities face are often complex and that making positive change requires long-term holistic and comprehensive services, Brighton Center provides a true community of support through 8 areas of impact and 47 programs.
