Women can begin experiencing perimenopausal symptoms as early as their mid-30s, with hormonal changes affecting heart health, bone health, weight, mental health and overall well-being.

The 3rd Annual Menopause Masterclass will bring together 20 health experts Saturday, Aug. 29, from 8 a.m.-noon at The Madison Event Center in Covington. Open to women of all ages, the event is designed to help women better understand and prepare for the changes associated with perimenopause and menopause.
The event features intimate roundtable discussions where attendees can talk directly with experts in cardiology, endocrinology, weight management, primary and preventive medicine, gynecology, urology, dermatology and pelvic floor health.
“Women can begin experiencing perimenopausal symptoms as early as age 35, and hormonal changes can silently affect our hearts, minds, bones and weight,” said Dr. Susan Oakley, one of the event organizers. “Understanding these changes and taking steps to protect our physical, mental and emotional health before problems arise is critical.”
Breakfast is included with registration. Attendees can also participate in a raffle featuring 17 baskets valued from $50 to $500, with all proceeds benefiting Bethany House.
