To the editor of the NKyTribune:
The 2026 midterm elections will draw more voters than usual, given the increasing prices of essentials like food, health care, utilities and gas. And the bigger picture suggests the growing concern about AI and data centers, climate change, a dysfunctional federal government leadership, and threats to democratic values.
Voters have it in their power to decide this November the direction they wish the country to go. Simply stated, we will decide whether we vote for candidates who will work for the common good or for candidates who profess their loyalty to a President committed to his own wealth and glorification.
This is an election where our values and principles, not party loyalty, should determine for whom we vote.
Northern Kentucky voters have a clear choice deciding which fork of the road they will take in electing their next U.S. Senator and Representative for Congress. Two of the candidates have sworn loyalty to the President, and two aim to address the bread and butter issues affecting people’s everyday lives.
I suggest that voters Google their names to learn what these candidates are thinking.
