Chris Bochenek, vice president and senior program manager of The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation, has announced she will be retiring in December.
A founding staff member, Bochenek has been with the foundation since 2006, and has spent two decades shaping the foundation’s community investments across Greater Cincinnati and fostering collaborative partnerships to strengthen and connect community resources while advancing the mission and values of the Haile Foundation.

Before her work at Haile, Bochenek spent 28 years at U.S. Bank, where she served as vice president and regional operations manager among many other roles. Her background in finance and operations helped her see the big picture, making her a trusted partner dedicated to uplifting local organizations and helping our region thrive.
“No meaningful success is achieved alone,” Bochenek said. “I have been fortunate to work with exceptional colleagues, dedicated nonprofit partners and funders who share a commitment to our community. The relationships I have built over the years are among the greatest rewards of my career. Together, we have accomplished meaningful work that has made a difference in the lives of people throughout our community.”
“Throughout her two decades of service, Chris brought extensive experience and genuine care to her leadership roles, helping guide major initiatives and fostering deep collaboration among regional partners,” said Bernie McKay, Haile Foundation’s president and CEO. “Her lifelong advocacy for others and her dedication to the community are things no one will ever take for granted.”
Adrienne Henize joined the foundation on October 1 as Program Manager and will assume Bochenek’s responsibilities upon her retirement.
Henize will lead the foundation’s human services investments while working collaboratively with her colleagues on the foundation’s grantmaking in arts and culture, education, and civic and community development and engagement. Prior to joining the foundation, she was employed at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she built cross-sector community partnerships and developing programs to improve outcomes for children and families.
In her previous role, Henize co-led the Cincinnati Child Health-Law partnership and community engagement strategies across clinical subspecialty teams to address social drivers of health. She also co-developed regional initiatives to address food insecurity, including in-clinic food pantries, serving thousands of local families.
“The foundation warmly welcomes Adrienne and enthusiastically supports her as she receives the baton from Chris,” said McKay. “Adrienne’s vast experience will be put to good use as she helps the foundation continue to drive impact and make meaningful change as we serve our community in the years to come.”
