The Myles Murphy Foundation, in partnership with Madre’s Modern Mexican, will host Game Changers: A Student Celebration on Tuesday, October 27 from 12-1:30 p.m. in downtown Covington. The event will take place on a closed stretch of street at Madison Avenue and West Eighth Street. This is a private event for invited students and is not open to the public.
The celebration honors students from Holmes Middle and High School who show up, work hard and make a difference in their school and community. Built around the theme “Attend. Achieve. Explore.,” the afternoon puts students at the center, recognizing their effort and connecting them with the local leaders and businesses that shape Covington.
Students attending the celebration will:
• Be recognized for their attendance, achievement and leadership
• Enjoy lunch provided by Madre’s Modern Mexican
• Meet local business owners and learn how they built their companies, with exposure to entrepreneurship and career paths
• Collect swag from each participating business
• See luxury and exotic cars up close
• Enjoy music and fun throughout the afternoon
Holmes Middle and High School will provide transportation to and from the event.
The event is made possible by community partners Madre’s Modern Mexican, Level Three Autosport, Braxton Brewing Co., Better Blend, Galaxie Bar, Warner Law Firm, Preferred Metals, Hotel Covington, JS Jewelers, The House of Beauty, Smoke Justis, American Sound, Selfie Cincy, L-Train, Everything Cincy, First Edition Fleet and Covington Police and Fire.
