The newly constructed homes represent a milestone in the City’s efforts to expand homeownership opportunities for income-qualified households.

The two completed, 1,560-square-foot homes feature three bedrooms and three bathrooms and are now ready to hit the market. The homes are expected to sell in the $250,000 to $260,000 price range to households earning no more than 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI), as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The project, a partnership between the City of Covington and Neighborhood Investment Partners (NIP), is expected to bring a total of 19 new homes to the 300 block of Pleasant Street.

The modular homes were manufactured by Unibilt Industries in a state-of-the-art production facility before being delivered to Pleasant Street and placed on permanent foundations in August.
