Gov. Beshear makes appointments to boards and commissions including three Northern Kentuckians

Gov. Steve Beshear has made multiple appointments to boards and commissions including three Northern Kentuckians.

Beshear appointed Ashley M. Reed as a city commissioner for the City of Upton.

· Ashley M. Reed, of Upton, is a residential assistant at Lincoln Way.

Beshear appointed the following as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the second Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky, to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2018:

· Ronald Curtis Goode, of Paducah, is president of Cole Lumber Co.

· Beth Louise Hunt, of Paducah.

Beshear reappointed the following as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 2ndJudicial Circuit and District of Kentucky to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2016:

· Deborah Alston Edmonds, of Paducah.

· H. Gregory Waldrop, of Paducah.

Beshear reappointed the following as members of the Kentucky Commission on Proprietary Education to serve for terms expiring July 21, 2019:

· Leonard Napolitano, of Louisville, represents the public at large.

· Deborah K. Mobley, of Shepherdsville, represents privately owned for-profit technical schools.

Beshear appointed the following as members of the High Performance Buildings Advisory Committee to serve for terms expiring Aug. 22, 2016:

· Philip C. Annis, of Lexington, is employed by Mountain Enterprises and represents the Plantmix Asphalt Industry of Kentucky.

· R. Finley Messick, of Frankfort, is executive director of the Kentucky Ready Mix Concrete Association and represents the association.

Beshear reappointed the following as members of the Kentucky Early Intervention System Interagency Coordinating Council to serve for terms expiring April 20, 2018:

· Laura Beth Beard, of Falmouth, represents parents.

· Catherine F. Lowe, of Lexington, represents parents.

Beshear reappointed the following as members of the Kentucky Geological Survey Advisory Board, to serve for terms expiring Sept. 1, 2018:

· James Steven Gardner, of Lexington.

· Raymond R. Ashcraft, of Frankfort.

· Marco M. Rajkovich, of Nicholasville.

· John F. Tate, of Roundhill.

Beshear appointed the following as members of the Kentucky Board for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy:

· Jacob W. Hack, of Frankfort, is a radiology tech at Rebound Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He represents licensed limited X-ray machine operators. The appointment replaces Vicky L. Poplin, whose term has expired. Hack shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2018.

· Acena J. Beck, of Fort Mitchell, is an attorney with the Beck Firm PLLC. She represents citizens at large. The appointment replaces Anne Marie Brown, who resigned. Beck shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Oct. 31, 2016.

Beshear reappointed Clifford “Rip” Rippetoe as a member of the Louisville-Jefferson County Tourist and Convention Commission, to serve for a term expiring Aug. 13, 2018.

· Clifford “Rip” Rippetoe, of Louisville, is president and CEO of the Kentucky State Fair Board.

Beshear appointed the following as members of the Kentucky Wireless Interoperability Executive Committee, to serve for terms expiring July 22, 2017.

· Scott County Sheriff Anthony “Tony” J. Hampton, of Georgetown, represents the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association. He replaces Thomas W. Wright, whose term has expired.

· Buford Hurley II, of Flatwoods, is director for Greenup County E-911. He represents the Kentucky Chapter of the National Emergency Number Association/Association of Public Safety Communication Officials. Hurley replaces Stephen B. Mitchell, whose term has expired.

· Alice R. Harris, of Mount Washington, serves on Mount Washington city council. She represents the Kentucky League of Cities. The appointment replaces Rebecca A. Hopkins, whose term has expired.

· Ballard County Judge-Executive Vickie L. Viniard, of Wickliffe, represents the Kentucky Association of Counties. The appointment replaces William E. Marcum, whose term has expired.

· University of Louisville Chief of Police Wayne Hall, of, Louisville, represents the Council on Postsecondary Education. He replaces Doyle N. Friskney, whose term has expired.

Beshear reappointed the following as members of the Kentucky Wireless Interoperability Executive Committee, to serve for terms expiring July 22, 2017:

· Bellevue Police Chief Wayne Turner, of Fort Thomas, represents the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police.

· Andrew M. Chandler, of Versailles, is public safety program manager for the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services. He represents local emergency management services.

· Paul M. See, of Cold Spring, represents the Kentucky Association of Fire Chiefs.

Beshear appointed Vincent E. Gabbert to the Kentucky Sports Authority, to serve for a term expiring Jan. 4, 2019.

· Vincent E. Gabbert, of Nicholasville, is vice president and chief operating officer, Keeneland Association. He represents members at large. Gabbert replaces Paul N. Rogers, whose term has expired.

Beshear reappointed Rep. Derrick Graham to the Southern Regional Education Board.

· Rep. Derrick Graham, of Frankfort, shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2019.

Beshear reappointed the following as members of the Breaks Interstate Park Commission, to serve for a term expiring Aug. 18, 2019.

· Ira David Sanders, of Elkhorn City.

· Jack C. Sykes, of Pikeville.

Beshear appointed Muhammad Babar as a member of the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Long-Term Care Administrators.

· Dr. Muhammad Babar, of Prospect, is a physician. He represents the Kentucky Medical Association. The appointment replaces Patrick J. Murphy, who resigned. Dr. Babar shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 12, 2018.

Beshear appointed Ronald Brunty to the Agriculture Water Quality Authority to serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2018.

· Ronald Brunty, of Letcher, is a counselor at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College. He represents environmental organizations.
