Ludlow Historic Society and the League of Women Voters of Northern Kentucky hosted an estimated 150 people at the Ludlow High School Auditorium this week for a two-hour forum with city council and mayoral canidates.

The six city council candidates and three mayoral candidates engaged the audience with their opening statements, answers to written questions from attendees, and closing remarks explaining why they want voters to elect them to office. The evening concluded with time for candidates and voters to meet and mingle.
The LWVKY provided nonpartisan voting resources and information to those in attendance. Attorney and Ludlow resident, Kerry Neff, served as the forum moderator.
Dr. Jason Steffen, Superintendent of Ludlow Independent Schools, said he was encouraged to see significant community support for the Forum.
“Schools are not only places where academic learning occurs, but also vibrant hubs where civic duty, engagement and democratic values are modeled for our students every day,” he said. “We were thrilled to welcome candidates and community members to foster open, meaningful dialogue on the issues shaping the future of our city.”
